Koko is widely recognized for contributions to Acting and continues to attract attention from entertainment audiences worldwide.

Born on July 4, 1971 at the San Francisco Zoo as Hanabiko (Japanese for "Fireworks child"). Koko the Gorilla became a celebrity when she allegedly learned ASL (American Sign Language) and was able to communicate with humans and show emotion.
